Accessibility Statement
We want everybody to be able to use this site, order food and book our truck.
Our commitment
Fat Boys Street Eats is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification or voice control.
Standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That standard is published by the World Wide Web Consortium, the body that maintains the technical standards of the web.
What we have built in
- Semantic HTML landmarks, a single H1 per page and a logical heading order
- A “skip to main content” link as the first focusable element
- Visible focus outlines on every interactive element
- Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive tech
- Colour combinations checked for contrast against the WCAG AA thresholds
- A mobile menu that traps focus, closes on Esc and is fully keyboard operable
- A human-verification puzzle that can be completed with arrow keys instead of a drag
- Respect for the operating system’s “reduce motion” preference
- Layouts that reflow to 320 px without horizontal scrolling
Known limitations
Some menu documents are supplied to us as printed artwork. Where a menu is presented as an image we also publish the same information as selectable text or a tagged PDF wherever we can. If you need a menu in another format, ask us and we will send one.
